What is Frankincense?

Frankincense (also known as olibanum and Luban) is an aromatic organic and natural resin used in incense and perfumes, obtained from trees of the genus Boswellia in the family Burseraceae. Its resin is available in various grades, which depend on the time of harvesting. The resin is hand-sorted for quality.

Era of uses:

 Thousands of tons of frankincense are traded every year to be used in religious ceremonies as incense in thuribles and by makers of perfumes, natural medicines, soaps, and essential oils. It can be inhaled or applied to the skin for its supposed health benefits. Nevertheless, it is heavily used for Gum production.

Types to offer:

  Headman International company can offer Frankincense in customized forms, depending on the requirements. It can be exported as raw material in specific diameters or processed. Raw gum often comes in such grades: Frankincense Nagawa Cleaned: particles size above 10 mm. Frankincense grade 1: particles size between 5mm to 10 mm, Frankincense grade 2 particles size below 4 mm.
